I don’t have an alarm clock, I have a series of Chaka Khan, Prince and Louis Prima ringtones that wake me up every morning on my iPhone. My boyfriend hates them. When I finally gather the will to open my eyes and move my limbs I turn off my millions of annoying alarms and look at any emails I’ve received in the night. Usually I have junk email from chain stores, or an email from Twitter letting me know about the newest spammer to follow me. This morning, though, there were an amount of comments here on Blunderland in need of approval. I was confused. Literally two people knew about this blog about a week ago, and now suddenly I have strangers thanking me for my Yudu review. Then when a young lady named Serra added me on Facebook she answered my blurry, half-awake, un-asked question: these strangers know about me because Beefranck talked about me on MrXStitch today!

For those interested in how I give away my embroidery, here’s how it works: each Thursday at noon PST I hop on both Facebook and Twitter and quote a movie, TV show, song or book. The first person to guess the origin of the quote gets embroidery relating to it. Some weeks the contest is a real nail-biter…sometimes people answer so quickly that it comes down to mere seconds between the winner and the runner-up. No worries if you don’t win, though, there’s always next week, and hey, you might like that prize even better.
